General Discussion / 33% of Congress Need To Be Primaried in 2026
« Last post by JohnyMac on May 29, 2025, 11:15:38 AM »

When I oversaw retail competitor acquisitions, 33% of store managers welcomed us, 33% stayed neutral to see how things went, and 33% quit or were laid off within 30 days of the contract being inked. This pattern held for every acquisition.

Applying this to the GOP side of Congress, 33% support the MAGA agenda, 33% are neutral and observing, and 33% want the status quo.

The last 33% should be primaried and replaced in 2026 with leaders who aim to reduce the national debt, shrink government, and adhere to the original U.S. Constitution.

News & Politics / Re: Trump Takes South African President to the Wood Shed

I was pleased to see Trump call out the SA President and I'm thankful that the USA is hosting SA refugees. We have neighbors that have been in the USA for a couple of years from SA on a visa. They are white and their families are farmers in SA. Asking them for perspective they shared that the killings are indeed happening, but there is some sensationalism with the media over the situation.

So i presume most of you have seen the videos and maybe done some homework? i would love to know how my american counterparts view this and how they feel about it?

What preppers should prepare for? It seems it should be more and more of AI!!! AI seems to be infiltrating every platform! How can we get around that? Did you see this post by Telegram's Durov?

This summer, Telegram users will gain access to the best AI technology on the market. Elon Musk and I have agreed to a 1-year partnership to bring xAI?s chatbot Grok to our billion+ users and integrate it across all Telegram apps. This also strengthens Telegram?s financial position: we will receive $300M in cash and equity from xAI, plus 50% of the revenue from xAI subscriptions sold via Telegram.

73 & God Bless

Just before I started the DIGITAL net tonight I tested my software (FLDIGI) and nothing worked. After trying a few things to correct the issue, I sent out a msg to back up NCS folks and Stephan raised his hand to jump in - THANK YOU STEPHEN.

I shut everything down, radio, tuner, computer, lights, etc., and reboot everything. Low and behold, everything was working. YAHOO!. I checked into the ERIN net and Stephen returned NCS duties to me as his signal was weak out of Florida.

The only think I can think of that caused the software/computer issue was we have had multiple power out ages since last week. Even though I have my computer hooked up to a UPS, I suspect some of the outages was longer than my UPS power supply. Obviouly, my comouter didn't like those quirky shutdowns. Live and learn.

See ya' next week.

The bottom line is that we are in a time of plenty, so it would be WISE to get what we need NOW. When you go to the grocery store, instead of one can of food, buy two or three and put one in the cup board for meals two on the back shelf pantry.  The great thing about food storage over stock, you eat it.  Here, we emphasize storing meat, then beans and etc.  In nature, fats and high quality proteins are generally short, so storing these make for nourishing meals later. The lowest grade Corned Beef in a can beats the BEST salad, where survival is on the line.  Proteins are your bodies' building blocks and animal fat is fuel. Don't forget to store salt and SPICES.  Find and frequent, your local source of eggs (farms, 4H, Amish) . In my work in the third world, the difference between slop and 'delicacy' was generally a question of spice.

Garden, garden, garden.  Diced peppers, onions, cabbage and garlic in a sauce with mystery meat = super food. "Peasant food" was a survival tool.

I made salt this year from ocean water, its pretty easy but time consuming. And the way we did it was too aggressive and we lost more than expected.

I actually heard this...... "Happy Memorial Day." Say what? Memorial Day is not a happy day, it is a sad day. Some folks forget to put their brain in gear before they put their mouth in motion. :DrillSgt:
