As of this post, the vote is 4:1 against kicking him. He's new, perhaps inexperienced with researching info at all, and should be welcomed into a prepper community, not running into a spiked metal door in the dark with people on the other side screaming through the windows for him to find the brass doorknob with the electric current running through it.
You guys want a community of preppers? You want it to grow? This is part of it. Some questions are repetitive and annoying, yes. Want to fix a part of it? Make a thread for noobs, one that goes over all the basic questions a noob can possibly have. Post it, get noobs to read it ASAP when they first log on, and add any new questions to it as they come along.
Stop with the semi-hostile welcome. It's like inviting a stranger into your house, then "playfully" punching him in the shoulder and expecting him to be okay and not surprised/shocked and ready to defend himself. Let the new people get to know you first, and perhaps you'll get to know them, too. We didn't joke like this with each other when we first came together. It's been over a year for most of us, and that is a lot of time to grow into an online community and, for some of us, an indirect family. So, with lots of non-gay love: Don't Be Dicks.
'Merica...that's why we're here, ultimately, to preserve her (our traditional ideals and way of life) for ourselves and our posterity, through surviving a SHTF situation and rebuilding the Republic. Let's keep that the focus of this site. It's not just a good ol' boys hangout. The mission here requires effort (i.e., work) from all of us.
