I like the new rules in theory.....but they won't work and are therefore useless except to only make things more confusing.......Kids will simply lie about their age when opening an account.
EDIT: Imagine the confusion created by trying to have a conversation with a kid masquerading as an adult.
New rules aren't needed. The old ones worked just fine. Skyhawk was tested for his level of maturity with some slight hazing and he failed gloriously. The climax of his failure was having a conversation with a government employ (school teacher) where he admits, "I did some of thinking about all this and showed my teacher this site and she told this is why we have homeland security to protect the public from crazy militant extremists like this." Then later he states that his life is being threatened, "...here I am 16 and you guys are ready to kill me!!!!!!!" And then he has the audacity to post about his actions here as if to threaten this board's users.
Just to reiterate, the new rules are completely unenforceable. These "problem children" will occur from time to time (even with the new rules) and they will have to be weeded out (banned) one by one.
5 hours, 57 minutes and 35 seconds to ban Skyhawk after his potentially litigious post?
Just saying.
