Just a quick question on the 870,
Does that Knoxx hurt when you fire it?
I fired one on a mossberg 500 and it didn't hurt nearly as bad it worked and felt great. but when i use it on the 870 it feels like i'm getting butt stroked in the face.

I noticed a significant reduction in recoil; but had to extend the stock out farther than I'd liked to because I kept getting punched in the face by the tube. I guess it's a double edged sword; either your shoulder thanks you but you get Tyson'd in the cheek, or you have an awkward length of pull. And if you notice it has a very weird angle from center of bore.  I honestly don't feel as though it's worth the $70ish bucks. I just had a hard-on for it because it was "all the rage" when it came out. But like I've found with most Blackhawk products...it wasn't worth the money you spend on it. 

Knoxx stocks allowed for reduced recoil but increased flip. Kind of a six of one and a half dozen of the other IMO.

That's a sweet gun!  I wish I could afford one.  If I was going to get another pistol it would be a Kimber.  Let us know how it works out as a carry gun.  Lucky stiff.     I'm just jealous.  Congrats man!

I have a hard time getting the BLKTalons  in .45acp. I've had these for years. I have a few boxes.
9mm on the other hand, I buy those by the 50 for $30. They haven't all dried up yet.

Finally got a DM rifle.

Here's my current "go to" rifle. It's a Norinco Mak 90 with a straight cut receiver. I've added: a Tapco G2 trigger group and retainer plate, a Tapco AK74 break, an Ultimak rail system, a Tapco Intrafuse lower forarm, a Tapco SAW pistol grip, an Arsenal Nato Length stock. and the sling is an old Chicom sling. I also did some dressing to the inside of the gun to work out the small flaws that are common on import guns, so it runs extremely well.
In a few days it's going to have a Bushnell TRS-25 (Which will stay until I find a used Aimpoint) and I'm still picking which flashlight and offset light mount I want.

That's not an ACE folder, it's a Russian or Bulgy triangle folder. Different. This is an ACE folder:


Note the Galil-style of the stock.

I personally find the solid-stock folders to be more comfortable than the triangles but thankfully they are easily interchanged. My triangle stock is in a box someplace long since replaced.

Firstly, you see that paracord wrap Technique has on the top of the folder? Let me tell you, it ain't just there for looks.

Am I correct in assuming its to pad out the stock.. it looks pretty narrow to me and width (lack there of) is a force multiplier.

It's a Russian Folder.

I like the triangle stocks, myself. I don't find them too terribly uncomfortable.
Some of the downsides to the Triangle vs. Solid folder mostly found in deploying
the stock. It's a lot easier with the Solid stock.

The Triangle is a lot more narrow. This is good or bad,, depending on how you
look at it. When it's folded it's a good thing. Easy to stow and easy to keep closely
slung to the body. When deployed, cheeking it is often less desirable in comparison.
I like that when wearing armor/straps/packs it is nice and slim though.

The para cord is a bit softer AND it's getting cold. Nothing worse that a cold ass
metal stock on your face.


I have to say, this is THE nicest and most well built AK I have EVER seen.
Even compared to an Arsenal 105. I'll get some better pics in the day time.
