Very cool mixer! I had a party this Saturday and I spent three days baking and getting ready for it. By choice, I did most of the mixing by hand (I finally had to break out the hand mixer for the deviled eggs as I just could not get them smooth by hand), and I tell you, it's a lot more work than it might seem. I was thinking about how people made these amazing desserts and such by hand in the days before refrigeration, mixers, etc. (though hand mixers were common) and it blows my mind. Even "simple" chocolate chip cookies took about twice as long when you have to wrangle the dough by hand. I know I also use my bread machine for bread as I almost always ruin bread when I try it in the oven. Must figure out what I'm doing wrong there. Anywho, thanks for the link and the article.
