I want one. But removing money from a bank that is not yours is a bad thing and could get me lodging at the county or state facility along with not being allowed to own a gun. I have to pass for right now.

Very cool mixer! I had a party this Saturday and I spent three days baking and getting ready for it. By choice, I did most of the mixing by hand (I finally had to break out the hand mixer for the deviled eggs as I just could not get them smooth by hand), and I tell you, it's a lot more work than it might seem. I was thinking about how people made these amazing desserts and such by hand in the days before refrigeration, mixers, etc. (though hand mixers were common) and it blows my mind. Even "simple" chocolate chip cookies took about twice as long when you have to wrangle the dough by hand. I know I also use my bread machine for bread as I almost always ruin bread when I try it in the oven. Must figure out what I'm doing wrong there. Anywho, thanks for the link and the article.

Cool gadget Wellie. A bit pricey for me though.
I can't remember when I used a Cuisinart mixer or food processor last. The food processor is still at the house in RI and the mixer is down in the basement. I think I used it last Thanksgiving when I made pumpkin pies.
Looking back, learning to cook and stuff from my grandmother, I can't remember her using a mixer and certainly not a food processor. She did have a egg beater mixer but it was powered by me spinning it. I still have it and use it for egg whites, or whipping heavy cream. In MrsMac's earlier chef life, she used a wire whisk which she preferred to dirtying a food processor on small projects.
I will say as you found out Wellie, it is tough planning a dinner party or holiday event. Now we know why women had so many children back then. LOL. Boys worked out on the farm and girls helped mom cook.
One of the things my grandmother did after her three daughters left home was she would cook desserts & meals in advance and freeze them. For example when she would make an apple pie she would make two or three and freeze uncooked. Same for a bunch of other desserts.
When she made bread she would dedicate a day a month to make bread and then freeze the extra loafs. Every time I make bread in the bread machine (I do use that appliance A LOT) I will think of my grandmother.
I guess Nana's favorite appliance was the freezer. LOL.

$479!?!? That's almost R7k! That's my monthly rent and fuel bill!
I'm currently keeping my eye open for something like this (second hand) that I can try to hook up to a stationary bike that I'm rigging to charge batteries while I get my cardio in but mostly for milling and grinding purposes.
