New to JS8Call
« on: July 27, 2019, 09:47:25 AM »
I just downloaded JS8Call to my laptop and need help on the settings.  I have a Yaesu FT-857 and a SignaLink.  I can't seem to find what the JS8 Call settings should be on that system.  Anyone familiar with using this?

Have you tried WSJT-X?
I started with Digipan, then moved up to WSJT-X. I found getting the settings to work took the most time.
I installed JS8Call today and have it communicating with my Icom 706MKIIG for CAT, and a signalink as external soundcard interface. It seems to be operating - the waterfall moves and I can change freq, but haven't seen much activity, and have not decoded anything. Might be the settings, or the antenna or the bands..
I used the settings I worked up in WSJT-X for setting up JS8Call.
What problems are you having?
Computer control?
Soundcard interface?
Display?

also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfH5YDEQ_18 for power/mobile options and he dives into Js8call on some of his vids but did not see a specific playlist.
