Man you guys hang out with a bunch of pussies.

But seriously guys, your level of physical fitness will be the single most important factor in your survivablity post collapse.

I am not in the greatest shape, none of us are. We all need to step it up. Should the next contest be a fitness contest?

yeah that might be cool but i think we might get some sand baggers that suddenly can lift twice the weight or run a mile twice as fast... lol

It looks like Mountain started something here.   :)

I agree, most of us could probably stand to get in a little better shape.

Us AK guys can start out with the Spetsnaz Pushups discussed in another thread a little while back.

Rminder:
AK47 Spetsnaz Pushups - 2

You AR guys can do sit ups.  LOL!  Just playing guys!  But really, don't try the push ups with an AR.  They're made for shooting.

Thanks for starting this topic Mountain.

Looks like it's time to rock 'n roll...down a hill. Then run up, backwards, with a ruck, blindfolded, and with my legs tied.

Bring it on! :))

Hey Sledge, was that PM Putin in that video? Sure looked like him.

Good luck and enjoy the road to your goal Mountain. You will be doing one arm push-ups with your .357 mag in no time.

I need to add: Havinga goal of loosing 50#'s in 30 or so days is a hefty goal. May I suggest 25#'s by Christmas and another 25#'s by Presidents Day in February. Running 2 miles by Christmas is totally doable. We would hate to loose you Mountain.

LOL!  Yeah, it kind of looks like Putin JM but I don't think it's him.  This guy doing the push ups had his shirt on.

I think Johny is right dude, 50lbs in 1 month is way to fast. Shoot for slow and steady dude. 5-10lbs a month can be done by just cutting out sugar. 10-15lbs a month for just cutting out sugar and working out some.

You are a big fucking dude and you need to work into it so you don't get injured, which would set you back seriously. Another concern is that you want to make a life style change while you are losing this weight and it takes time to replace bad habits with good ones.

I want you to do it right so it lasts.

ok guys so far this is what i got going for my routine,

cut the sugars and fast food, eat 3 regular meals
cut out the soda slowly

get a better sleep schedule

and do an exercise 3 times a week
i start out with a 1/4 mile jog
come back and stretch out real good
do about 400 jumping jacks
do some situps
do some dips and push ups
then do another run before i walk it all out

i figure its a pretty slow pace but i want to cut the fat and get my muscles back in gear before i start to work out

what do yall think?
suggestions?

I like that you are streching after warming up. Shitcan the idea that you are going to do a set number of anything. Just add to what you did last time and make sure to give yourself a pat on the back from time to time dude.

Well, I would like to start this, too. I'm at the tail end of a cold and have an annoying, long-lasting cough, plus I got a piece of glass in my foot (I think?). However, after those two annoying things are gone, I'd like to join in with you guys.

My last approx. weight: 270 lbs.

My likely in-shape weight: approx. 200 lbs.

I'm like you, Mtn...I drink a LOT of cokes, plus sweet tea and coffee. I get a ton of sugar. It's one of my worst habits. I think some pushups, situps and walk/runs on the treadmill are a decent start to help me lose the weight. I'd like to weigh 250 or so by Christmas, maybe less if I can swing it.
