Report--Boehner part of the Gunwalker cover up

Sources close to the investigation of the Fast and Furious scandal (Project Gunwalker) that has engulfed the Justice Department have disclosed to reporters that House Speaker John Boehner is part of the effort to cover up criminal activity on part of the Department of Justice.

According to investigative reporter Mike Vanderboegh, who has spent the week in D.C. at the Issa Committee hearings, sources who helped uncover the details of the illegal operation to walk U.S. guns into Mexico have stated that it is Boehner who has hamstrung the efforts of Darrell Issa and his committee in the House to proceed to follow the evidence wherever it leads, particularly when it involves the Attorney-General of the United States:

Yesterday was the devil's own day in the Gunwalker scandal investigation and the search for the truth suffered as a result. Several sources tell Sipsey Street that the committee's work has been slowed by the intervention of Speaker of the House John Boehner, with some saying plainly that "the fix is in."

Several sources close to the investigation, have "gone dark," no longer speaking on conditions of anonymity because they have been warned that to do so will be at the risk of their jobs.

When sources dry up, informants stop talking, and the investigators suddenly express trepidation about going forward, although there is ample evidence of lying to Congress, stonewalling, deception, and the refusal to provide subpoenaed documents, it is safe to assume there is much more than what meets the eye.

In short, what other explanation could there be than they have been intimidated into silence?

The sudden silence is not due to a lack of sufficient evidence. There is the ample testimony of the original whistleblowers, who disclosed from the start that the program was implemented by the Obama Administration to create false gun statistics that could be used as a basis for calling for massive new gun control laws. There are thousands of documents turned over to Congress showing that the highest levels of the Administration, including State, Justice, and Homeland Security, were all in the loop early in 2009 laying the foundation for what would become the Gunwalker scheme. There are emails in Issa's possession showing that those in the middle of the scandal in Phoenix had direct contact with the White House itself.

Thus, the sudden silence of sources is not due to a lack of proof of wrongdoing.

One insider who is familiar with the investigation stated,

As for yesterday . . . (it was) a plea bargain of sorts where both sides save face. The Committee will accept the scalps of Breuer and Wienstein, DOJ will release enough of the (documents) to condemn them, claim cooperation (thus giving the appearance of recognizing congress's oversight authority), and Holder will survive - looking like a "leader" for offering them up (along with a few lower level ATF and DOJ folk). The Committee will chalk one in the "Win" column for oversight and holding people accountable. DOJ will have the same for cooperating and accountability. All sides win, all checks and balance intact and working fine, all powers respected and then they move on to the next act of political theatre. The only ones left to sweep up the mess, are the American and Mexican peoples - ignorantly secure in our beliefs that the system works and that our government is actually for us, by us, and of us.

Not surprisingly, gun rights groups are livid. The head of one group stated that if Boehner is going to play such a game, "We can play the game too."

Already the blowback has started. Boehner is going to face a primary challenge in his reelection bid to the House in Ohio from a Tea Party activist who has been at the forefront of efforts to expose Boehner for his sellout to the Obama Administration.

Yep, I saw this the other day. Boehner is selling us out. I could not be more upset about it.

Makes you wonder what Obama promised him in return for Boehner's help in the Fast and Furious cover up. Freaking politicians, you can't trust any of them. They literally are above the law.

I don't see us voting out all these corrupt politicians anytime soon.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  We're screwed.
