Life is becoming more interesting in Sri Lanka. The MSM is covering the crisis as the country falls apart before our eyes.

In an effort to restrict the protests, the government has declared a 48 hour curfew, which has been largely ignored by the populace. Police and military are authorized to shoot as necessary. Protestors have entered the Presidential palace and have burned down the Prime Minister's home. Some websites have described the hunting and killing of the rich.

The reality is a little different than what is being described in the American Partisan website. Yes, some rich are being killed, but a better description would be rich
politicians. What is occurring in Sri Lanka could potentially be a precursor to events in the U.S. There are some parallels that are frighteningly obvious. In Sri Lanka, they have the Rajapaska crime family and their cronies, i.e., the Prime Minister, Ranil, and most of the cabinet. In the U.S. we have the Biden crime family and their cronies, i.e., Pelosi, Rice, Obama, etc. Rising inflation is a major problem in both countries, in Sri Lanka the price of an egg went from the equivalent of $.015 USD to $0.75 USD. The problem is that a typical monthly income is $200-$300 USD. There are food shortages in both countries, but it's currently much worse in Sri Lanka. Politicians in both countries are rich due to their political connections. In Sri Lanka the rich politicians don't have to worry where their next meal is going to come from. The food situation is critical for most of the population. I wouldn't be surprised to hear of dogs being roasted, cannibalism, or women prostituting themselves for food, it really is that bad over there.
The people in Sri Lanka are experiencing daily power outages. Most of their electricity comes from coal burning power plants, and reports that I've read indicate they have about 2 months of coal left, so soon they'll be protesting in the dark, and that will be real interesting. Most families do their cooking with propane stoves, but there's no propane available. As an alternative, they use crude clay stoves that burn biomass, i.e., leaves, branches, etc. Folks are coping in the best ways that they can. Family members over there are growing vegetables in their yards and on their porches.
The major difference between Sri Lanka and the U.S. is our availability of firearms. Handguns are strictly forbidden in Sri Lanka. The only long guns permitted are single shot shotguns, to be used for hunting or the elimination of aggressive monkeys or poisonous snakes. There are occasional crimes committed using guns, but it's generally dedicated for political force, like shooting opponents.
It will be interesting to see what happens over there next week. At this point, my family members are safe and fed, they live in a walled enclave, topped with barb wire. I've sent over solar panels, solar lights, etc., so they have some power available. If you're so inclined, please offer a few prayers for those folks in Sri Lanka, especially the ones who are going hungry this weekend. Let's hope we in the U.S. don't suffer from similar end results.

They should be stripped of their U.S. citizenship, but Biden will probably give them medals.
