I'm thinking that every one of us has some particular thing that we are either intently watching or sometimes watching so we'll have an idea of when the big collapse will happen. Some are watching inflation numbers. Some are watching the stock market. Some are watching the Precious Metals prices. Some are watching the Crypto Prices. Some are just watching the evening bullshit on TV. Some are watching all of them. Well, I keep getting fooled because I'm basically watching the Price of Precious Metals and Silver in particular. Every time the price of Silver drops drastically, I think, "OK" here it comes but then it doesn't. The price just starts to slowly climb back up where it was. Eventually the price manipulation balloon will pop and Silver will take off like a rocket and the price manipulators will have lost control. Lately, I've started to watch Copper and Nickel. They seem to be a bit more stable than other metals. I have been saving every Copper penny and every Nickel that I can for several years because they are worth more than face value. It takes 192 copper pennies to make a pound. Hmmm.... That's $1.92 per pound, but hey, wait a minute, Copper is selling for about $4.40 a pound. That means that every copper Penny is worth at least double its face value. A Nickel weighs about 0.176 ounces so 16/.176 is 90. It should take about 90 Nickels to make a pound. OK, let's just say that 2 rolls of 40 Nickels is close to a pound. That's $4 for 2 rolls of Nickels but Nickel is selling for about $9 a pound. That means that a nickel is worth about 10 cents. I suppose my point is for preppers to not overlook the importance of pre 1982 Pennies and all Nickels. I believe that Silver, Copper Pennies, and Nickels will be highly sought after when the collapse comes. Why did I leave Gold out? Well, unless you are buying a car or real estate, then who's going to be able to make change when you want to buy something like a gallon of Milk or a loaf of Bread?
