So the other day I'm wading through the sewers of the internet known as the 'Youtube Comment section' and I'm reading some typical back and forth on a video that devolved down to the usual, "God is the true way that will lead us to light and slavation" and then, "You religios people are the cause of ignorance and war science is the only true way"
And then a soul comes through and soundly puts them all in their place:
"Stop arguing about science and religion. One of the most annoying spectacles on the internet is a blinded believer trying to argue with a blinded atheist who believes in science he doesn't comprehend. And you're doing it here?
You, atheist. Leave theists alone. You don't understand endosymbiotic theory (a scientifically impossible event in evolution responsible for complex life), you don't understand bio-genesis (after the big bang, how atoms made life). All you comprehend is what has been told to you, so you are EXACTLY what you criticize. You and most of the people who criticize theists with science are NOT scientists and haven't the slightest idea about what you're talking about. As for macro-evolution, you point to exhibits showing "transitional" species of human life that are ALL from the same time period- which in itself is a fallacy. You still quote articles falsely point at remains of ancient lemurs as men (discredited in the scientific community but still heavily used by LAYMEN atheists).
You, Christian, stop arguing with the atheist. He doesn't care about what you have to say. He doesn't believe in your Bible, nor does he have interest in believing in one of the many holy texts circulating on earth. You arguments do nothing. You are not a scholar, nor are you going to convince anyone that the world is 5,000 years old. Hold your beliefs to yourself and do GOOD by them. Believe what is in your heart. People have many different Bibles, and there are many different accounts of how this world came to be by many different peoples. Even the Bible, formed of a few select texts, exists in 100 different forms."
Thought I'd share.
