Maybe because the Pope died and Schwab stepped down from the WEF. Two big personnel changes in major organizations.  I imagine we?ll see other repercussions, besides the price of precious metals fluctuating.

What  a year so far. and we aren't even halfway yet.

Silver is still running like mad. I sell bulk bullion and last year alone i sold 5kg of Silver. The demand for silver has most definitely gone up quite a lot which is great for those of us who were fast on the low down of getting some stocked up. as for the value. i am going to break it down to % as everyone deals in different currencies.

In 2009 I bought a kilo of silver and the price was around R3 per gram. Today that same kilo costs me R31.88 per gram. that's 1062% rise in 16 years. and that's not even the price the public pays. currently the public pays around R32.80 to R40 per gram.

Stay frosty out there.

Hail Good Lady, Long time no see!  Did you get lost or just lose us?

All going at least reasonably well?

And back to precious metals.  Silver is still good but gold is through the roof. Up 40% in the past year.

Friends of mine were in Cape Town a few weeks ago and discovered the local "gin & pink tonic".  Their only regret is that they could not load a metric tonne of it to bring back to the United States.

Could this be the breakout? Silver went nuts today. Oh, they'll try to slam it, but I think it'll come right back and probably keep going. The last time I checked, about an hour ago, it was at $35.85 an oz. The years demand is 1.2 billion oz and the mines can only produce 0.8 billion oz. That's 400 million ounces short. Eventually, somebody is going to get rich off of Silver.

Yep. It went to $36.30 but slid back to $35.95. I think overnight it will start rising again. $36.00 will become the new resistance point. I don't think that will last very long. I'm still going with the Silver Guru, back in January, that said the whole system will collapse in August. That's when I think Silver will go nuts.

Amazingly, there are still those who believe " that can't happen here!"   Well, I remember back in 7th grade asking what they would do when gas and a loaf of bread hit a dollar per gallon ?  " That will never happen...".

Now the absolute cap of 1000 dollar gold is long gone, it ALSO "could never happen here.".

So, home priorities are still:
Shelter
Water
Fire/kitchen

And the last 0.1% it the ability to hold on to your Shelter, Water. FIRE/kitchen.
