HELP! Video Editing Software!

I need to edit my VR for That Guy's What have you done to prep this month.

What software do you guys use to edit your videos?  Do you know of a good free one?

This freaking piece of crap Windows Movie Maker sucks!  It takes forever, you had to wait hours for it just to upload a video so you can edit it, and then, it just freezes and does the (Not Responding) crap all the time!  Microsoft sucks!

Anyway, any help that you guys can give me would be great.

Also, if you will, send me a link where you think I can download the software that's safe, and free from viruses and everything.

i just use windows movie maker but it's kind of a pain in the ass. it can be done though.

NOLA, do you have any idea why this freaking POS is freaking indefinitely every time I try to make a new video now?  It won't even let me get the video started before it freezes.

WMM doesn't freeze my whole computer or anything but it always freezes and glitches the video whenever I try to edit videos longer than a few minutes.

it works flawlessly for my little photo montages but it seems to have big trouble with videos. that's why my speed reload vid was so short, I was gonna have a bunch of successful reloads edited together, then a blooper reel afterwords but WMM kept freezing the vid so I just gave up and posted what you see on my channel.

I wouldn't bother with it anymore. you're just gonna get more and more frustrated, lol. I've looked around a bit for free editing software to download but it didn't find much of anything for free.

Cool, I got the video made, but then when I tried to upload it to youtube, it had some BS error and said that it couldn't.  I guess it tried to convert the video to a format that youtube would take, well something happened and it said it had problems publishing the video.

Funny that didn't happen on the last video I tried to upload, but it was short, this one is like 9 minutes plus.

Anyway, I'm now trying to figure out what to do.  This crap sucks.  I've got the video, but now its impossible to get it up to my youtube channel.

Do you know of any cheaper paying software that I could get that will work better than this POS window movie maker?

Save your video to your computer from movie maker first if you can.  Then upload that to youtube through youtube.com.  if you did that then ?
