Woman raped on train as people watch

When I saw this story I got sick to my stomach!! A woman was being verbally abused by a guy then he upped it by groping her and then he raped her. All this went on as people watched and video taped it but never stepping in to help the poor woman, nobody even bothered to call 911!!! The train actually went through 27 stops and NOBODY did anything to help the poor woman. It was an off duty train worker who happened to see it and call it in.

And the word "assaulted" does not come close to describing the horrific event this poor woman went through, my prayers are with her and her family

This is the perfect example of three things.

1) The decline of society!!

2) This is exactly what the current administration wants to happen within our society. They want people to sit down, be quiet and NOT SAY ANYTHING

3) The rapist represents the the govt and the watchers represent the sheeple doing NOTHING as their neighbor is being assaulted right in front of their eyes.

Regarding #3, imagine the fleas showing up at a neighbors house, fully armed or unarmed, and taking them away. When questioned they tell you to keep your distance and its an ongoing investigation they cant talk about. Granted your neighbor may have skeletons in his closet that deserve intervention and stepping in would be bad for you. BUT what if they show up to your home, will your neighbors step in to help you? I have no doubt this will be happening

They've conditioned people successfully into lacking sympathy for others, and into believing that they shouldn't get involved because it's either "the police's job" or they're afraid to get in trouble, sued, or assaulted themselves. And in PA, it would have been lawful to splatter this monster's head across 3 cars.

And with the neighbor "having skeletons", I always wonder when I hear stuff like that if it's real, or just some made-up charges or planted evidence because they ticked the wrong person off. Because that is going to start happening a lot.

CNN had reports yesterday and today that some of the commuters who video-ed the crime may be charged for not reporting it.  I cannot find he article mentioning that.

That, no doubt, caused a bunch of recordings to be deleted rather than forwarded to the cops.

Except for the very few around that you trust and have discussed this sort of thing with, assume you are ON YOUR OWN.

We build and stock our own little lifeboats, and own weapons to preserve our control of the boat.
The line between extavagance and prudence remains unclear to me.  Many applicable lessons somewhere in the Bible, I'm sure.  Help on this one?

I hear ya' Felix however, our lifeboat is not just MrsMac and I but many people. One example, are the folks here on Unchainedpreppers.Are we not all in the same lifeboat? Another are the members of our church or bible study group.

Our small MAG group have discussed charity in the time of the strife that is coming. We will give.

I appreciate the response JM.  Please don't take my question as confined to a lifeboat with just me as an occupant.  Not a church group here, just a long, narrow valley with some good neighbors.   We too are giving and will give and share. 
I've kept an eye out for direction on what to expect and do, looked at every "manual" I've come across - even bought the "Civil Defense Manual" by Jack Lawson.
As "manuals" go for what to expect, how to behave/approach situations, I believe we can agree that the Bible is the premier.    Yet I still do not have arms wrapped comfortably around the boundaries of _my_ behavior if/when it gets really ugly.
Limits.  Boundaries.  My home/neighborhood might be resilient and absorb shock by taking care of each other.   But a small city of over 65,000 (many clueless/woke) lives within an easy day's walking distance.  Complete openhandedness offered on that scale would negate the interity of preperations onsite.
Hope I'm not -    -  :deadHorse:any verse(s) anyone can point to that addresses this?

This along w the down fall of a certain country and expecting more refugees has finally convinced my mom to purchase a S&W Shield 9mm for daily carry.


Tried to find general description of woman. Was she elderly or young, etc. No luck but understand they wish to protect her identity. I work psych. Alot of ppl on psych meds will have to be put down.
