Just on a side note I would like to mention that Dr. Bramers (not sure about the spelling) soap can be used as all the soaps you mentioned and would cut his load of crap down and the Parker Arrow Stainless Steel Jotter is the finest pen ever made.

Your list looks good Chesty but I wonder if Grandma would be cool shipping out cope.

well she was on the idea that she would send this to his FOB when he got there and send enough crap for other people to take what they need. but yeah im sure she will look into soaps like that. im sure she wont mind sending cope, makes it a little easier on them.

TG, funny you mention Dr. Bronner's...We use it almost exclusively for washing/cleaning. Never tried it for the washing machine though. Typically 2 gallons last us a year at home. Still on the gallon I bought a year ago for camp.

There is also many different scents and the bottle is great reading  :))

For you guys who would like to buy a small bottle- Check out your local health food store. My mega grocery store (Stop & Shop) carries it too and it is cheaper.

Chesty,
Although I was never in the military I have been away from home for long periods of time. I always appreciated simple things from home. Pictures. My favorite magazines that I could not get on the road. Tollhouse cookies.
