It was very hard for me to choose between late 12 and early 13 so I went with the furthest out. Mostly out of hope.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I think it's going to be a prolonged gradual decline. I'd say three to five years before anything serious happens. I'm not saying it's going be a cake walk but I don't think you're going to wake up one day to find the world falling apart at your feet virtually overnight.

The only thing that will cause SHTF is some massive natural disaster, like a meteor, earthquake, that literally decimates or causes massive damage to a large part of the United States. So I guess something like that could happen tomorrow, maybe in 10 years, maybe in a million years, or never. As much as I distrust my government, I also know most branches can barely tie their shoes, much less organize some crackdown against the citizenry. Could it happen? About has much chance of some above mentioned natural disaster. The nation survived the great depression, what is going on today is nothing close, yet. Just ask your grandparents about it. It don't really matter who is elected in 2012, it doesn't matter the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. The world will keep spinning 'round, bad shit will happen, as well as good stuff. But in case I am wrong, I prep. I had a lot more to write, but it's been a long day, and my new electric blanket is calling my name for some sleep.

I always assume it will be tomorrow, but I am always working on my preps, even if just one extra can of food at a time.

I think if any one person knew, they would either go insane, or have some real good shit put away from when it does happen. Or, more like me, a mix of both.



But if I was a betting man, I'd say around ________.

I'm calling it an economic shtf in the late half of october next year, after that happens the social shtf follows shortly.

second half of 2012, i hope we will last that long cause i cant spend all my money on preps 2morrow, when it comes to buying family comes first
