man burns passport after renouncing citizenship.
« on: January 28, 2012, 01:31:03 AM »
i think its funny he keeps saying he 'took action' when everyone else wont, he ran away. or how he thinks that somehow all of the tyrannical government problems hes mad about are going to be better anywhere else in the world. i agree with him on some stuff but i would never move anywhere else. i plan on being completely off grid when i get property and what not but that will take alot of time and cash to get started.

I guess congrats to him? He ran away, and now lives in what appears to be a public toilet at a shitty club somewhere. Go him [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

Running away is a childish thing to do.  Its not something that a mature person does.  A mature person stays, fights, and deals with the problems.

It's crazy, ballsy, and down right insane. I like it.  [URL=http://www.smileyvault.co
Truth be told, yeah running away from your problems is one thing, but when you see the ship sinking, people diving overboard, and the rats already bailed out.....well isn't it time to seriously consider doing likewise?
Or is America just a forgone conclusion of a failed society? Will our own personal choices be as sorrowful as those in the World Trade Towers on 9/11? Do you stay and get crushed or burned alive, or do you jump out from the 80th floor knowing damn well you'll die anyways? Can't say I haven't thought about it myself. I've got two brothers living in Peru now, and though one hasn't outright said he's not coming back, I highly doubt he will. Honestly, I'm a little jealous. Fact is vast majority of this nation doesn't understand wtf is going on and keeps plowing towards their own demise. If 10 1/2 years of nonsense wars, terror attacks, and economic collapse hasn't been enough to wake this nation up what will? How great a catastrophe would have to occur?

So he buggered off to some other country when the going gets tough? Great example.  [img]http://www.arrse.co.uk/at

Or did he? I don't know, but it sounds awfully like someone plugging a new book or something that will hit the shelves soon.

If he really did what he says he did, then good riddance to him.

A lot of good Americans are leaving America.  Doesn't mean they are unpatriotic.  They haven't changed - their Country changed on them.  Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.  If I had the $$ I'd get a ranch or villa in Costa Rica or Ecuador.  If you think that makes me un-American or un-patriotic you can go phuck yourself.  Lets not get out of hand guys but for the record those that havent fought for their country (99%) of all americans... are not any less american because of that fact alone. there are people both in and out of the military who i wouldnt call american..the fact that some one has served alone dosent make them a true american in my eyes. the ratio is the same both in and out of the military.

Not to mention the fact of your hip. And did they take care of you? Or what about the countless vets that claimed agent orange harmed them? USA government denied them up until about the past two years. I guess they figured if they waited long enough those patriots would be dead and not in need of medical attention. Pisses me off when people sit here acting like "patriots" ON THE COMPUTER, when it actual life they do nothing to contribute or change the course of this country because they still ignorantly believe in politicians. At least this guy had the balls to say "enough is enough." So he can gladly keep his guns, live where he likes, and I'll applaud his courage.

For the record, which was not clear from the video (unless I missed that part), he renounced citizenship in 2006. Yet six years later decides to burn his passport and post it on YT. I've been in dialogue with Jordan via YT. Will let you know if any more relevant info comes to light. Something stinks of a publicity stunt, but not exactly sure for what reasons.

Amen.  The VA told me "there's nothing wrong with you.  Here's your pills, go home."  But I don't want pills.  I want you to fix it.  A competent doctor saw something the VA didn't.  There is no bone left in the inside on the top of my femur where it joins the hip.  Nothing there.  Nothing like this runs in my family but nobody in my family has jumped out of planes for 4 years straight, either.  The VA is atrocious and they could give a shit less.  Our veterans deserve better.  All those "feelgood" commercials are just lip-service. >:(

Documented fact:  Russia at this point in time has more liberty than America.  If someone had told me that would happen back in '89 I wouldn't have believed it.  But it's true now.  Disgusting.  This war of liberty will be won with ideas, not rounds.  The rounds are only to protect yourself while the ideas of liberty spread.  It's not a conflict you can win by force of arms.  Not this time.

Actually, there seems to be a lot of people leaving the country in the past couple of years.  I don't think most are burning passports or denouncing citizenship.  The are a lot of financial advisers out there and many, many articles saying that now is the time to open accounts overseas and move your money out of the country.   Before a government 16 trillion in debt decides it needs it worse than you do.

I've seen several reports saying now is the time to leave due to laws recently passed and others that are in the pipeline.  Our God given rights seem to be turning more into government given privileges every day.

I don't have the money to leave so I guess I'll stick around and watch the fireworks.

Documentation.  Several immigrants I worked with from Russia and the Ukraine who have said Russia is a more free society than America right now; having lived in both.  Think your ass is free?  Go to an airport.

Or break a role the TSA or Homeland security has and be prepared to dissappear thanks to the NDAA and the possibility of Lieberman's "Depatriotian Act." My old man was returning from a golf trip a couple years ago and his brother who smokes cigars tossed a small resort book of matches in his bag. Long story short, the spotted them in the airport, never said a word, and a couple weeks later he gets a letter that he's no on a watch list and if it happens again he'll be fined $10,000 and could spend up to 6 months in prison. Yeah, we're free all right. Free to sit down and stfu.

I remember when I was a kid in the late 1970's if people wanted to build a tool shed or garage on their own land they just did it.  If they wanted chickens or whatever they just got them.  No local or fed government intervention.  No special permits or other crap.  Freedom is gone.  You just have the illusion of freedom in your matrix internet world.  And soon that will be gone, too.  Documentation my a$$; just look around you!  Situational awareness.

What kind of documentation are you seeking? The same type the government rolls out about unemployment numbers and job creation? Or the type that idiots like Alex Jones roll out talking about mass FEMA graves? Both examples which have been debunked as falsified crap. Personal experience IMHO greatly outweighs any "document" someone can produce. And I've known a number of people from the region who I went to school with, met through work, as well as church, and my local gun shop who've echoed the same thing. Does the lack of a document make them liars?

I suggest you do some research into the FSB (Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation) before you get all high and mighty about apparent lack of freedoms between the old Soviet Union and the United States. No illusions, plenty of freedom right here in the good old USA, don't like it? Then I suggest a move to Russia or the Ukraine might make you more happy.

I'm not sure about total freedom, but press freedom looks to be on the decline in the U.S.

In the recent Reporters Without Borders Press Freedom list the U.S is #47.  Russia is #142.  The U.S. fell 27 places in the list this year.  Several of the former Soviet satellites rank higher than the U.S. now.

Americans unfortunately will only wake up to their shackles only when their comfortable existence is no more.  I've lived 42 years and I remember how free I was back in my younger life and how restricted I am now.  20-somethings have no basis for comparison and the baby-boomers are in denial and don't wanna rock the boat.  I say let's rock!
