Still a hero in my book, I don't care.  He essentially gave up his life, (life in prison) to get the truth out!

Not to mention that if he would have tried to do this in the chain of command you really think this would have gotten out?!?!?!  LOL  Don't be so damn naive.  You think those above him and on top would have let him do anything with this information?  They would have just been good little soliders and covered it up just like they do with everything!  That's why these guys are in the places that they are, THEY PLAY BALL!  They DO what their "betters" tell them to do.  That's why they are in higher positions.  They are but Glorified politicians, NOT SOLDIERS at that point.

Maybe if more would bring about all this information, that really shouldn't be Top Secret anyway, the public may actually be informed, instead of the dark.

Also, you're saying things that cannot be quantified.  Prove to me HOW MANY American solders were killed because of his actions.  Go ahead do it.  You can't, so that's a bunch of statist bullshit your spitting right there and I'll call you on it all day long.

When did I say this was a recent thing?  I didn't!  Our government has been doing this to us for a long time, maybe even the past 100 years.  I know we've been living under a thug government for the past 150 years.

I don't think they did a better job of hiding it, I think they are trying the same things to hide information now, but it is the internet and the information age that has allowed us to become "aware" of things that we would of had NO WAY of finding out before.

Basically our government has lost control in some respect because of the internet.  Why do you think our government is currently trying to censor and control the internet so badly?

They are completely freaked out and worried that WAY too many people are waking up and way too fast.

I see Manning as a hero, only because of how corrupt and disgusting our government has become.

If our government was not so disgusting and corrupt, I'd probably feel the same way as many here.

I understand those that served, and I understand your views just fine.  You have your worldview, I have mine.

Was Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg a hero?  Yes, in my opinion, he died a hero, as well as others were tried to take out Hitler in Operation Valkyrie.

What this guy did was MUCH less radical than what they did, but it was in the same spirit.  He was trying to get THE TRUTH out there, of which our GOVERNMENT and the MEDIA lie to us DAILY on what is really going on with these interventionist wars.

He's a hero in my book, and nothing that anyone says is going to change that.

I'M TIRED OF BEING LIED TO BY MY GOVERNMENT AND THE MEDIA!  I'M TIRED OF EVERYTHING THAT THE GOVERNMENT DOES BEING MARKED "TOP SECRET" AND NOT AVAILABLE FOR AMERICA'S PUBLIC EYES, EVEN WHEN ITS JUST TINY SHIT LIKE THE TRUTH!

I'M TIRED OF IT!  I MEAN COMPLETELY FUCKING TIRED OF IT!

I'm a big boy, I can take the truth from my government.  I'm tired of being kept in the dark all the time about even the most tiny shit, that doesn't even matter.

I understand the need for "TOP SECRET" material, but those in power are simply ABUSING that privilege and they are making EVERYTHING "TOP SECRET" even small shit that doesn't matter.  LET THE AMERICAN PUBLIC KNOW!

We are supposedly living in a free and open society.  We are not, we are living in a closed society where our government does its best to keep the public completely in the dark on everything.  I'm tired of it.

I won't lie I read til I saw the tired of being lied to part and you are right they dont tel you about all the buildings and houses and land we've cleaned up for them the welds we've dug the 100 of thousands pounds of food we've given them the millions of gallons of water we've given and not to mention given them the technology to process their own water built hospitals and GAVE them free training to handle their own political and laws we gave them structure to  build upon that is decades more advanced than what their previous system was built upon, I'm sorry the media doesn't tel you about the half full part of the glass. If you know norse"mythology" we gave them their own ragnarok something this whole world will eventually see one as a whole so stop worrying about the big picture placing false heroes in praise and spend your time preparing for when our "tyrranous" government tries to force you to fly that flash that represents your very right to speak what would get your hands chopped off and tongue cut out if you were in any number of countries. Manning is a hero huh?  Well, he's in jail now.  I guess we can all agree to weep over him.  Some because he's there and some because he didn't get the chair.

I will say this, he's damn lucky Ron Paul didn't get his way.   If it had been a declared war he would have been put up against a wall and shot for what he did.

I think he knew he would get caught for what he did, and he's serving his time.  That's part of what makes him a hero in my eyes.  He literally gave his life (life in prison) to do what he thought was right.

Also, that would just have made him even more of a martyr, I guess.  I would actually say that if I were in his place, I would most likely want to be put to death, over being in prison or "the hole" for the rest of my life.

Thus begins back into the debate whether life in prison or the death penalty is worse.  I have always voted life in prison is worse than the death penalty.  I'd rather it be really bad, but quick, then life in a box for the rest of my life, not allowed to make my own decisions about my life or do what I wanted.

People of his sexual persuasion don't mind going to prison.  It's like telling a kid you're going to punish them by locking them in a candy store.

I honestly couldn't say.  I've never met anyone with either a death wish or the guts to try it.  Of course I'm pretty ugly so maybe that has something to do with it.

Oh RS was just busting my chops because we don't always agree.   He thinks from his point of view that I'm narrow minded on things like religion, gays, Muslims and such.

Actually, the difference is that I was educated in a time when they taught you how to think instead of what to think.  Back before the education system decided it was all the rage to imprint PC bullshit on the young people's brains.  So when I look at things I don't have a filter that I view them through.  Just kind of see them as they are.

He thinks I'm an old coot and I think he's a little mouthy.  But he's a good young man who's gonna see a lot of stuff before he's done.  I wish I could be around to tell him what he's seeing.  That would bug the crap out of him!  LOL!

The anti war lady?  Is she part of that code pink group?   I don't know man, I mean she isn't pretty.

I kind of feel sorry for her.  I feel bad for all the mother's who have lost their sons.  Losing a child has got to be a real bitch.  I remember how my mother was when one of my brothers died at 26.  Hard times.

War is a terrible thing.  It always has been.  But it's something that has been here since the beginning and has never left.  As long as women continue to have sons they'll be marching of to war and some will die.

Mrs Sheehan nor anyone else will ever be able to change that.  But let her try if it helps her deal with her loss.

lol pretty much.
However i would have to say i disagree with you on being taught what to think, among my generation it's not exactly hip to believe what i believe, you can trust me on that one. I wasn't much good in school anyway my friend.

I definitely feel bad for her loss. That would be the hardest thing to ever have to face. But all that and her politics aside, Whew, she is not at all attractive. And I don't have high standards either. lol But I'd have to draw the line there.

LOL!  Yeah, I know what your saying.  But women like her have been known to look a lot better about 2 in the morning after a night of drinking.  I can attest to that!  But opening your eyes the next morning makes you want to reevaluate that whole drinking thing.  LOL!  No offense meant to any ladies.  Everyone deserves to be loved.

Edit:  Of course as ugly as I am I'm sure some old girl is telling the same kind of story about me.  LOL!

I've had a few nights and mornings like that too. More than I'd like to remember. That's the kind that makes you want to chew your arm off rather than wake her to get out of there. Some of them are like a mo=ped. They're fun to ride but you don't want your friends to see you with it.

Speaking of women. There need to be more here. A while back I poster a thread called "Nicest looking ankle holster" I was surprised nobody commented on it. I wasn't talking about the holster, but the woman wearing it. Her and her husband/boyfriend are getting into prepping. Somebody should invite her and other prepper women to visit this site. I poster her in "Gear Review"

I think there are women here. TG just keeps them locked up somewhere safe away from the rest of us.

We've had prepper women on here from time to time.  They don't seem to stick around.  There still may be some visiting but they don't speak up.  Shy I guess.  Or maybe they think we're all male prepper pigs.  Well, who could blame them.

Clearly false advertising, I mean the casing barely made it down her boob and never entered her bra.  Guys, replay that section of the video and tell me I'm wrong!  :))
