Housing crisis in the UK
« on: August 28, 2022, 05:22:26 PM »
So we have just came out of a bit of worry.

In May our landlady suddenly gave us notice that she is selling the property and we had 2 months to find another place. So utterly surprised and financially unprepared we had to hit the rental market to find a new place.

Oh my. What a nightmare. We started looking and applying for every property that was suitable
The first place we viewed had 25 other families applying for the place. The window for applications was 4 days. On any given day there were about 40 three bedroom or more places available. Now get this on any of the same days there were over 400 three bed places for sale.

Yep the landlords are selling up.

Now we were lucky we got another place and moved 2 days before we had to get out of the old place. We are paying ? 200 more in rent but have a roof over our head.

The house were were in sold to our landlady 5 yrs ago for ? 330,000 and she has it listed now for  ? 535,000. Can anyone say housing bubble?

Just an update from the Isle Of Wight here in the UK.

Lets hope the crash is at least a bit gentle on the downfall.

And glad to see you here, you should drop by more often.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.
