There's a reason we home school. While this may be "news" to some folks this sort of thing is common knowledge in the home school community. For the most part anyways. The hippies could care less.
Dare I say the only thing anyone has ever learned in a public school worth while is basic math, reading, and some history. Science, economics, political history, advanced math, art, and so one have been used for indoctrination. Alas, no one ever talks about the flawed logic of Robert Owen when discussing our corrupt "education system."

If they taught the Bible in public schools the indoctrination would never set it. In fact it'd have the opposite effect. You see, they couldn't hide their dark plans and desires. Proof? Me. More proof? Court martials for members of the military speaking out about their faith. The Southern Baptist websites being blocked from our soldiers because "Christianity is radical religion." They'd rather preach to our kids about spiritualism, mother nature, and evolution. My wife, her senior year of high school, had her art teacher literally preach to her about her faith in forest fairies. When my wife disagreed she was ostracized. Welcome to America folks!
