what bullet weight do you stock for your AR and why?  What AR configuration: twist and length do you have?

I would prefer 62 grain cause I have a 1/7 though I hate it.

I also have a 1/12 that LOVES 55 grain. SO when I shoot the new one ( 1/7 ) my hopes are high that it will sling a 55 just fine. Then I can shrink my stocks down to just 55 make life easier.

Why dont you tell us what twist barrel you have and save a lot of hassle lol...

just find ammo at a great price no matter the weight just keep it all the same load, buy a shit ton and call it good...

I have 1:7 twists in my 16 inch and 20 inch.  I reload mainly for the 55gr and 75-77gr.  Each weight works well for the twist rate.  I just want peoples opinions.

well if your reloading then im guessing all weights are pretty close in cost so id say go with the heavier stuff as to make the best use of the 20 in rifle. what ever you choose keep it the same accross the board.

With a 1:7" you are good to go 55gr and higher. I reload 55gr for the range and reload match quality 77gr JHP Sierra for long term storage.

That might change now that I have found a source of M855 pull downs that are cheaper than the Montana Gold 55gr that I plink with.
