I get asked the same thing occasionally.  My response is that I have enough for a small war and leave it at that.  But this thread reminds me that I need to do another inventory soon...

Hmm.... When someone asks "How much ammo do you have?". they are asking you to break the first rule of Prepping. RULE #1: Its OK to say what you have but its not OK to say how much you have.

I'll just say that I have enough to protect myself and family and a bit more for trading.

Yeah, inventory of not only ammo, but magazines too.  Got to fill those gaps.

Have to refill cans and increase supply of used stuff for range time.
