Vegetable Garden 2022
« on: March 18, 2022, 10:25:50 AM »
Well it is time to start my seedlings.

Today I will start my flower seedlings.

April 1, I will start my veggies seedlings. I will start out with pepper and tomato seeds then other veggies that take a long time to get started.

This year, my whole garden will be covered with veggie landscape cover. I am tired of spending my day weeding.

How is your veggie garden plans coming along?

A friend is letting me use one of his raised beds in exchange for taking care of his section while he is away every few weeks. I plan on growing anything I can can, dry or store for long term storage

Hoping to get a week of dry weather so I can get potatoes planted. Planted early peas, kale, lettuce a week ago then it rained. Turned more land so I can plant more corn and green beans.

Awesome Brother!

We still have to wait a few weeks before we can put anything in the ground. We have had measurable snow well into April. Today, it reached 71 degrees yet there was frost on the lawn this morning. You are lucky you are where you are as you can get a jump on the garden.

I planted 16sweet potato slips yesterday after work.  Haven't decided on what to do next.  Maybe some onion sets and yellow squash.  Try planting some more guerrilla gardening yams.
I also want to find some mullberries and persimmons to put in.

P'ison I say, P'ISON.  They will kill us all, deader than a gravestone.  Thos'uns that grow need be run out on a rail!

Pison, so nasty they'll make your body send your soul to hell.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

Ice/snow has just this week melted down far enough to get the greenhouse door open.    Will get in and clean our all old pots and start working up next batch of soil to use there next week.
Ground is still frozen with mud on the surface during day warmth.
Running first wash through still today - all of the plumbing was frozen so I'm dumping the cooling water - recycling circuit still iced up.     Rum it is at the moment, a corn likker or Scotch to follow, probably not until May.
