LDS Bishop Houses Updated North American Addresses

Here is a link to an updated list of locations & addresses to LDS Bishop Houses in North America.

Even if you are not Mormon, they are a great place to buy in bulk. Although the Bishop Houses do accept credit and debit cards, they prefer cash. The reason being that many have been visited by the Feds asking for receipts of people how buy there and are not Mormons.

Try 'em...You will like them.

Yep, ours does an "open" house three times a year. They love the greenbacks, but accommodate plastic as well. Plus, you don't (or I've never been) preached to nor did they want my address.  :thumbsUp:

I have been to the one in Atlanta.  6 cases of #10 cans of high quality necessity foodstuffs along with 100 oxygen 2 liter absorbents in cardboard cases.  Cans are sealed and with at least 10 years and more like 20 year lifespan for each can.  Total cost was $125 or right close.  Effectively made enough food supply for my wife and I to lock the doors and live in the house for 90 to 120 days on those 6 cases alone.

VERY well worth the looking into and dealing with.  Good people, good product, good prices.

Nope brat...Never been preached too.

I have went so many times to my local (~1 hr away) Bishop house that the manager and I started talking openly about .gov and where we are all headed. Good folks.

Oh there are some times I am tempted, yet am really concerned with how things are going. If I could convince the other half to live in the middle of nowhere I would do so.

Gadget my problem is bigger than that. My wife suffers from "Normalsy Bias". I have to prep in a clandestine manner. Yesterday she saw me on a Survival Food site and said "Your not buying that stuff are you?".

Mine was like that.  But mine would say-- you know we don't have the money to buy that stuff, don't you?

A few months back something caused her to turn ever so slightly to a few extra cans in the cabinet.  And she actually began to wonder whatever happened to the silver eagles he dad had prior to his heading on to his great reward.

Also, she even went to an Appleseed shooting school class with me.

 Mine use to like to shoot but I can't get her on the range anymore. She is scared of a finacial colapse but other than that nothing.

Try Appleseedinfo.org  There is a goal in that.  A Rifleman patch.  Alot of good tie in to the Revolutionary War.  Paul Revere-- One if by land, Two if by sea, and I on the opposite shore will be, ready to ride and spread the alarm, to every middlesex village and farm, The Redcoats are coming, The Redcoats are coming.

And no I did not google that up.  Memorized it way way back.

Many think that was -- The British are coming.  But all the people around at that point were British, so it was the Redcoats they were concerned with.

I told this story before but well worth me sharing it again.

Many moons ago the family was at the cabin over 4th of july weekend. My brother and our wives were sitting on the porch looking south over a nice meadow just below our cabin. At the farthest reached of the meadow my brother had placed some gongs awhile back.

Needing some 4th of July noise my brother went into to the cabin to retrieve his AR and we started plinking at the gongs. When my brother turned to MrsMac and asked her if she wanted to try her hand at throwing lead down range.

MrsMac was not interested but after much coaching she said she would shoot the rifle ONCE. Well +200 shots later I said, "Enough! If you are going to shoot anymore you have to buy your own ammo."

Later that night as we were laying in bed talking about the next days activities I asked MrsMac why did she like her target practice earlier in the day. "Heck you haven't shot a long gun with me in years."

She told me that I always made her shoot rifles that hurt her shoulder. "That AR didn't kick at all....I could have shot it all day long" she went on. 

The next day I went to gunbroker.com and bought her her own AR.  ;D Bummer that she lost it in Hurricane Sandy with ALL the rest of our long guns. Still have my flint lock smoke poles though  ;)
