Food For Thought - Global Wheat Production
« on: March 10, 2022, 12:18:49 PM »
Russia is rated 4th (74.5M metric tones) in global wheat production. Ukraine is rated as 7th (33M metric tones). Combined they produce ~ 107M metric tones or 22% of the globes wheat production.

What happens to bread and other uses of wheat like livestock feed when worse case scenario; 22% of the globes wheat production is removed from the market?

Of course 22% will not be removed from the market - Or will it?

There is a freeze on all Russian exports. Maybe not to all the globe but certainly in North America. Since Russia was kicked out of SWIFT they will only sell wheat for gold like they are doing for crude now. China will probably be their broker.

How will a reduction on available wheat affect you at the grocery store? Just food for thought.  :coffeeNews:

Much of it is exported to Africa and Europe. We are in a global market, but that doesn?t mean we equally share the burden.
Life's too bizarre, don't take it seriously.

When the United States was at the TOP of the international buying market , we could compete against anyone and buy anything to make-up for a bad season.  Now, we we are routinely DEPENDENT UPON IMPORTED >FOOD< FUEL AND CRITICAL MATERIALS, but our dollar is not necessarily strong and we - as a nation - are seen by many as a pariah State.  In short, we are far less able to simply whip out the checkbook and make our problems go away.

Food has absolute global value. On-the-other-hand , as a friend of mine used to say about paper dollers:

"Used paper is 50 cents a ton, I don't care WHAT is printed on it."

These days, the central banksters routinely skip even using paper.

That is what globalism brings us.

Trump really threw a wrench into the globalists game plan. Now they are back on track and the Ukraine-Russian drama is made for the Davos group.

WW I Wilson was President and our first progressive president. WW II FDR was our second Progressive President. Notice the pattern.

Our third Progressive President was Obama. He was slowed down because of the GOP controlling the Senate and or House during his tenure.

There are 8 months till the mid-terms and 10 months before the new congress is sworn in. I see the future as,

> The next 8 months will be PPOTUS and his puppeteers going full bore... Pedal to the metal trying to sink the USA
    economy and you, the deplorables.
> There will not be a midterm or like 2020, due to some unknown drama, ballets will be sent out to the whole
    country.

The Progressives see the finish line and they can smell victory. By hook or crook, they will finish their plan and the outcome will be; the Progressives ending up at the end of a rope or you occupying that position. They are not to be denied this time. They are all in. Are you?

"All in" might be one way of putting it.

But "Bracing for impact" could serve also.
