Field Day 2022

Good morning folks!

This weekend is Field Day 2022 across North America. To learn more on Field day go here.

In short, once a year tens of thousands of amateur radio operators in North America come together on the fourth weekend of June to hold Field Day exercises.

My club will be participating also. We will have a radio set up and manned with a ham operator so you can help to get QSO's (Contacts) for the club too. To find a club near you just do a search, "[your county name] amateur radio club" or in the link above with the ARRL, many clubs post their location there.

The date and time is; June 25th starting at 1400 hrs. local to June 26th at 1400 hrs. My club the Susquehanna County Amateur Radio Club will be at the old county fair grounds in downtown Montrose, PA.. Below is a link to the address, map and other information.

First count (Unaudited) for our field day,

78 CW, 154 PHONE, 229 DIGITAL = 461 QSO's

Our class was 3A due to one club member didn't show up over the weekend who was scheduled to be a station and one member went SK last month. Normally we are a 5A.

Great weekend though. Weather was perfect, and fun was had by all. Food was great and a few "chilled barley sandwiches" were opened and served. We also signed up a few new members to the club.
