Ok folks, those of you who know me Know i dont do the chicken little act very much. But i think it would be very prudent to watch this very closely. Ill be honest and say that Pandemic was at the top of my list for reasons to start prepping. Politics, economy, terorism and the mutitude of other threats we face in this world tend to pale in comparison to world wide pandemics.(thats just my opinion)
Im not usually the full out allarmist guy. But this kinda scares the shit outa me. So i dont think anyone would go amiss if they watch this carfully and took a lil time to reinventory their preps and take a moment to shore up any glaring deficencies.

Its interesting that it is coming out of the Middle east rather than Asia. I agree, it's time to reexamine your preps to make sure they are where you want them to be.

Me, I am more worried about a collapse of our economy. BUT, lets remember the definition of a Black Swan event:

Events like:
Pandemic,
Collapse,
War, and
Weather. All happening at once.

It's not unreasonable. That's a pretty high mortality rate thus far. The good thing is now that it hasn't mutated to be spread by humans. Though considering it's such a low number I'm a little surprised the WHO hasn't figured out a common factor with those affected. All the more reason though I want to move away to the mountains. Which by the way, just tossing it out there, but I've thought a few times if I took anyone in post collapse I'd quarantine them for 7 days or so to make sure they had no illness.

Interesting story:

As you all know my wife and I spent 130+ days at the BOL. Although we did go to town on occasion, go to the town pub maybe a half a dozen times and had dinner with some of the folks on the mountain - Neither one of us got sick.

In the past, every year we both will get some form of cold or flu. Most times it will turn into bronchitis for me so I would have to get a shot of penicillin in the butt plus follow-up pills as I am prone to ammonia.

Well my point is when you are cooped up with a whole bunch of people, when there is a cold, flu pandemic going around, you and your family are at peril.
