New Mexico Shooting
« on: January 20, 2013, 05:00:42 PM »
Alright this is getting ridiculous.  Either the media is only focusing their time on finding and reporting on these shootings, or theres something else going on.

Quote
A teenager has been arrested and charged in the murder of five people, including three children, with a military-style assault rifle in the southwestern US state of New Mexico.

Police said on Sunday that they found the bodies of an adult male and female and two girls and a boy described as "elementary to middle school-aged," dead from multiple bullet wounds, when they arrived at an Albuquerque home late on Saturday.

Aaron Williamson, a spokesman for the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office, told the AFP news agency that, "multiple" weapons were found at the scene, including a "military-type assault rifle" that appears to have been used in the slayings.

The police statement said a young man in his mid to late teens is in custody, charged with two counts of murder and three counts of "child abuse resulting in death".

The ages and identities of the suspect and the victims were not made public.

The deaths came days after US President Barack Obama unveiled a series of sweeping measures aimed at addressing gun violence in the wake of last month's school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

The proposed measures include a ban on some military-style assault rifles and closing loopholes that allow many gun buyers to avoid background checks.

The killing of 20 young children and six adults at the Connecticut school has galvanised gun-control advocates, but congressional opposition remains high to new restrictions regarding the US constitutional right to bear arms.

Notoriety.

People want to be noticed. Maybe the media shouldn't talk about it.

Yes the media is focusing on shootings creating the illusion of 'things getting worse' and increasing their ratings in doing so. Isn't violence and murder on a steady decline since the 90s?

The whole thing looks pretty shady to us.. The house, the back story.. it doesn't smell right. Not saying the kid didn't shoot, not saying anyone touched anyone during their childhood. Not saying, just saying.

There is a more tragic story out of our home town today. I cut the shit out of my middle finger today cleaning up a water heater tank so I can make a solar heater out of it!

And that is what passes as my two thousand and first post.

It's not that bad.  It wasn't even deep enough for stitches-- believe me, Walker, I was ready.  I had the sewing kit out and everything  ;D

The shooting is sad, what a terrible tragedy.  The victim's apparently have 6 other kids beyond the 3 that died and the teen suspect.  My heart goes out to them.

The details of the NM shooting are still rolling out, but it did involve the family of a chaplain for the local fire dept. and county jail.  I caught your slight hint of a joke TG, but come on, you are better than that... or you know more than you are willing to share.

You're right.. I was stretching towards humor and I do know better. Thanks for busting me on it Walker. I really like the "you know better," that is a hard one to fight  :P

What I was unwilling to share is that even the media can't avoid steering opinion away from the "Guns made him do it" matra. They can't help but mention that

Greg Griego hasn't stood in front of his congregation in over a year.

Calvary's web page has a link to Greg Griego's bio but it's been taken down.

Calvary's News page doesn't have a single mention and before you say anything about the weekend or the holiday http://www.calvaryabq.org/news.asp There is a fluff piece posted today.

Nehemiah Griego has not one mention in any juvenile datebase not CYFD, APD or APS by all accounts he was a 'good kid.'

Have you seen the house?

Add it all up and multiply by the Skip Heitzig connection and you'll see were I am coming from. It doesn't add up that this otherwise normal kid would SLAY his family.

The cut, it isn't that bad.

45? angle 1" long little less than an 1/8" at the deepest... It is the placement that sucks.. right across the pad of my finger tip. Irrigated, eyeballed and applied pressure. It didn't want to quit bleeding, I would get it to quit and then I would put my hand below my waist and bango bloody all over again.

Now you want to see someone cut themselves, sprinkle a little broke glass around NOLA556 while he is drinking!
