Insurrection Act Has Been Signed

I was pinged by Monkey Werx about 45-minutes ago with a special video. The video was an announcement that President Trump signed the Insurrection Act last night.

Not wanting to believe just one source I did a quick search and I came up with several other folks reporting similar reports.

It is recommended that you do not turn off and then on your smartphone or download any app. Google and some other smartphone folks are going to disable the FCC Emergency Broadcasting Feature.

    Thanks, that's big news, if true.  Amateur operators might want to print or write down the ERIN net information in case the internet goes down.

IF it is TRUE - I have had my hopes raised too many times - the MSM, which Fox News is part of now, will be left out of the communication link, the EBS (Emergency Broadcasting System) will be the media of record. Remember, the President has the ability to turn off and curtail the interwiz and media. Remember this?

I didn't know exactly what was coming but I sure felt like something big was about to happen. That's why I sprung for the big bucks and got the IC 7300. I got pissed at the internal autotuner in it so I hooked up the LDG and WHAM, it did the trick. I can tune a fencepost with it now. I've been listening all over the place but I haven't transmitted yet. Well, I'm going back over to the radio now and if I hear someone that I want to talk to, I'll give it a try. :popcorn:

Wow, you had issues with the internal tuner? Interesting.

My Kenwood has an internal tuner too but I always use my Palstar manual tuner for all frequency's but 160-meters. The Kenwood one does better. Who knows why. It's all voodoo.

Can anyone verify this? I suspect it is false as something as important as the Insurrection Act, the EBS would be used. Thoughts?

I joined Parler two nights ago and now its shut down. Unfortunately I did not "follow" Trump yet.

I did follow Rush, he had 4 accounts and I have no idea if any or all were real or fake. I didnt have a good understanding of the system and how it worked and now its down...

Are you guys able to confirm anything you hear on your radios?
