OAK CREEK, Wis. (AP) -- At least six people were killed Sunday when a gunman opened fire at a Sikh temple near Milwaukee, authorities said. The suspected shooter later died in an exchange of gunfire with police.

Take note that Wisconsin has no provision whatsoever, for legal concealed-carry.

We have concealed carry here in Wisconsin. Just got it last fall. We also have legal open-carry too.

used  to work with a sikh. These people are some of the most kind and gentle people you could  meet. Really shitty what happend.

I'm not old enough to conceal carry, so do I walk around with my shotgun on my back (open carry in NM)?

That doesn't work, trust me.  A place doesn't have to be sketchy in order for bad things to happen to you.  How sad.

People open carry long guns here in Georgia all the time, sometimes in big cities as well.  For an 18 y.o. non-military, its the only legal way for them to carry for self defense.

I used to live in GA.  Between the ages of 18 and 21, I kept in my vehicle a pistol grip Mossberg .410 loaded with 000 buckshot ($1/round back then) and also a sling/bandolier that was fully loaded.  I covered it with a beach towel when I wasn't in the vehicle (although technically concealed, it kept the weapon from being seen and stolen.)  I think GA has since done away with the requirement (for unlicensed individuals) to keep the weapon unconcealed in their vehicle.  I applied for my license the first day the probate court was open after I turned 21 (my birthday was on a weekend.)

I drive with my Mossberg 500 persuader in the back of my WRX daily. In NM I can conceal it because they consider it property like a home. It just cant be concealed when I leave my vehicle. I can even own a handgun in NM and conceal it when Im in my car or open carry it, I just cant legally BUY one. I have 2 more years to buy a handgun.

Yeah, it sucks being between 18 & 21.  Been there done that.

On a side note.....In South Carolina, residents can buy and carry concealed (with permit) a handgun at 18.

I'm 20 with a license, and carry everywhere I can.
