Call To Action (Jan. 19th, 2013)
« on: January 13, 2013, 04:51:08 PM »

Spread the word! Damn! Harrisburg is on the opposite end of Pa. from me. (well not really, but far enough)Looks like a road trip for me. I was trying to come up with an idea for a sign. I think mine might say, " I pulled a Hillary the other day. I fell and hit my head, now I can't remember where I put my guns."

I thought up a few things for signs. 1) It's not about duck hunting. 2) I pulled a "Hillary", I bumped my head and can't remember where I put my guns. 3) The fact that we 're here today, is EXACTLY why we need a Second Amendment. 4) Against a tyrannical government, we are UNDER gunned. 5) Why do we need an AR15?, Obama's policies 6) You wanna talk weapons? Let's talk about Fast and Furious, and Benghazi 7) What part of "Shall Not Be Infringed" don't you understand? 8) Our founding fathers DIDN'T have AR-15s. They also didn't use teleprompters. 9) Help fix unemployment, hire some guards 10) YOU work for US!

P.s. For some reason, the number 8 is showing above as a "cool" smiley face. pretend it's a number 8.

lol... That's because this site's software recognizes an "8" immediately followed by a ")" as code for a "cool smiley" emoticon.

Good for you! I talked to more guys at work, and again, nobody heard about it. If it was Occupy Wall Street, there would be all kinds of turnout. I am really dis- heartened by some of the attitudes of some of them so called 2A supporters. "Yeah man! From my cold dead hands" knock knock, "state police, we're hear to take possession of your firearms" "Holy shit man, here, you don't have to be all official and stuff man, so you're saying, I won't ever get them back? Wow, that sucks. Then he'll call his buddy and bitch. "Yeah man, they maced me, and while I had one in a headlock, I couldn't see shit. I could hear the other ones leaving with my guns. My cousin gets out of jail, we're gonna head to the station and turn that place out." I know that people can't just drop shit, and drive across their states. I'm talking about the wishy washy mother f@#kers that talk shit, till the rubber meets the road.

I will not make it to RI for the march as mentioned earlier. I am teaching a "safe handgun handling" class on Sunday. It's 6 hours from the BOL to Providence and then another 6 hours back.

The class is made up of local women from a prepping club and a local church. Yup you got it; a local Catholic Church.  [url=http://www.freesmileys.or

So hj, are you going to Harrisburg?

God willing and the creeks don't rise. LOL! I'm trying my best JM. I've been on the computer and phone, trying to find others going. We're down to the one car right now, and I'd really hate to take it and leave the crew without one. My daughter has been down with some type of abdominal thing. The wife took her to the hospital the other night, and they thought it might be gull bladder related. They sent her home and told her to see her primary doctor. Harrisburg is about 5 hrs. from here. I took vacation for this Friday, and I told them I might need Thursday too. I may have to hitch-hike. It would be like the old days. I could probably write a book about my hitch-hiking days. This week is going by way too fast.

I am sorry to hear about your daughter. I will say a prayer for her.

My nephew (The one who shot his first deer this year) is in Intensive Care at the hospital. It started with a sore throat last Tuesday and ended up with him going into the hospital Sunday. It looks like a bacterial infection that spread from his throat to his heart and then to his lungs.

They have him heavily sedated (basically put into a medical coma) and they are starting dialysis today as his kidneys have shut down.

Harrisburg is only 2 1/2 hrs away from the cabin so I may go Saturday. Sorry that you are not closer as I would drive you and your posse to the event.

God luck man!

Very sorry to hear about your nephew JM. I will say a prayer for him. Do they have an idea of what brought that infection on? (only if you care to discuss it) Dumb question maybe, but I mean like did it just show up? Or does he normally have a problem with his immune system or something like that? Can they trace it to it's origin?

I don't mind talking about it but I do not know that much. At first swipe they think it had something to do with his tonsils. I guess your tonsils are supposed to fight infection but his didn't.

I received a short text from my bro that they are going to drop a scope down his throat today to look at the back of his heart. Don't know why - Hopefully he will call me later to explain.

His mom, my sister in-law is a RN so she is staying with him 24/7. The nurses in the IC unit rolled a bed into his room so she could sleep there. I guess those RN's stick together.  ;)

My wife is besides herself and wants to go to Philly to see him. I told her no as we would just be getting in the way.  Anyhow, you know what I know now.

Take care...

Sorry to hear about your nephew's illness, JM.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

If you do go to the hospital to visit, I'm sure a home cooked meal and some books or magazines would be well received, and the task of rounding up those things might help to keep your wife's mind busy...

Thanks folks. It is what it is.

He is in the best place he can be (Hospital IC) with his Mom close by. Because his Mom is an RN he is getting the royal treatment.  :))

Its up to him and the good Lord now.

TGrl, When they take him out of the medical coma they have him in I think your idea of bringing him some home cooked food is a great idea!

That'd be great for him too, but I was actually thinking for your sister-in-law.  You're nephews being taken care of, but I bet his mama has been neglecting herself.  Mom's are amazing...

I haven't thought of any prizes yet and I don't get paid till the end of the month, but I think a contest is in order.  If you have any suggestions for prizes, feel free to holler.

Post pictures of your signs and other folks signs from the rally tomorrow.  In a week or two, we'll vote for the best sign in each of three categories: 1) funniest sign, 2) most effective sign, and 3) bat-shit craziest sign.

HJ has a leg up on everyone since he's already given us a taste of his sign ideas, but don't fret, he's only covered by one or two of the three categories. ;)

Note:  Remember folks, tomorrow you are representing the responsible, upstanding gun owner's of this great nation, so act accordingly.  This is not a biggest douchebag in the universe contest, that's not until the spring...  ;D

I still gotta make my signs. I'm gonna meet up with my cousin in the morning. He's driving about 1 1/2 hrs. I'm driving about 1 1/2 hrs. Then we'll meet up and ride together for about 3hrs 45 min. Getting out of here about 5 am. Gonna hit the rack early, I hope. For all who are going, be careful and represent. LOL!
