Radio Rescue in Back Country Idaho (AmRRON Operators !)
« on: September 04, 2022, 12:07:49 PM »
I know this region well and this is some seriously rough country.  Two teen girls seriously injured in a truck roll-over, compound fractures & etc.  Having no cell service a new ham used her radio to call-out on the AmRRON simplex freq on 2 meters and got an immediate , lifesaving response.

Way to GOOOO AmRRON!

It's nice to see positive press about amateur radio.  Don't think I've ever used 146.42 simplex, need to program that into the scanner.
