"Step into my parlor said the spider to the fly". There isn't any free lunch here. I'm sure you'd get the Handi-talkie but all that signing up isn't going to be worth the forever hounding for you to buy their products. A new ham would be better off just buying a $25 BaoFeng from Amazon.

I've found that gigaparts is generally priced higher than their competitors.  But sometimes they carry items that other major companies don't carry.
