Guns & dreams
« on: November 16, 2013, 10:08:45 AM »
Have you dreamed of having your gun and you need to shoot some motherfuckers but the trigger pull is so hard you can't do it?
I hate those dreams, also I hate the ones I'm being sniped and can't move.

Who dares to share their gun nightmares, come on don't make me feel like the only wacko on board  :dancingGrenade:

I haven't had one in a long time (years), but ever since I was little, occasionally, I would have a dream, where I would have to flee from whatever. Sometimes a bad guy, sometimes a monster, whatever, just some evil or danger. When I would try to run, my legs wouldn't work. They would be like cement or in slow motion, or both. Luckily, I would always wake up. Dammit, why don't I ever have my gun with me in my dreams? lol

:lmfao: guys as I have had similar dreams. Me it's mostly about my firearm not working properly.

To bad we don't have a psychiatrist as part of the forum  :o he/she could fill us all in on how wacky we are.  ;)

I much prefer the dreams I use to have as a kid. When I could just start running down the street, and take off flying. That was awesome.

I have several a year. One was I was shooting a guy over and over at near point blank and he wouldn't go down.

The most recent one was I lived in mexico for some reason and a group of cartels were across the street. After several days of keeping an eye on them I watched one guy run across the street with an AK and to my front door. Then more followed behind him. I grabbed for my 870 but the damn thing kept malfunctioning. I couldn't get a round to chamber properly. It felt like i tried a 100 times before they busted in. They ended up taking over my house and kicking me out.

Basically in every dream where I need a gun it lets me down. The kicker is I tried to talk to Remington about these reliability issues but they don't care. Lol

YES! I'd be able to just will myself to fly and up I'd go. Always at night time over the city.

What's weird, is I could look down at everything in 3D, from a bird's eye view. As a kid, that never saw the neighbors rooftops, I was looking at them, along with pools in their yard, at their cars, everything.

I've had dozens of dreams where the trigger was too hard to pull.  I've had a few where the gun started falling apart like shattering peanut brittle.  I've also had a few where the rounds had no effect on the attacker.  I even had one where I got gut shot... my stomach hurt even after I woke up!

I had a dream once where I was in a battle again some kind of armored force, like the final engagement in Saving Private Ryan. Had an M1 and everything. Wasn't wearing a uniform, so I must've been resistance. We had to run and I cried to my subordinate about how sorry I was it didn't work.

Then there was the dream about being chased by a monster and shooting it with a S&W 65.

I've had the one where you keep shooting the dude and there is no effect but the one I've had repeatedly is being barricaded behind a plywood door in a bathroom. The door is always flimsy and without a latch. I've always got some futuristic weapon like the one in Aliens but no ammo.. What makes the dream so terrible is that the floor of the bathroom is ankle deep in various ammo but I've got to hold the door while I sort.. I've never seen what is pursuing me but I am horrified by it.

Lets help out TG by making guesses on what is pursuing him.

My guess is his 1st grade teacher  :trolling:

TG I say go to bed with a bunch of loaded mags and an AR. If this works you end up with it in your dream. Next step, let the door fly open.
