Prepping for winter
« on: October 18, 2013, 12:18:58 PM »
If your not already getting ready for winter, now would be a good time to start, especially those of us in the colder climates. What is your main prep for winter, the one thing that has to be done before the first snow flies? Firewood ready? Post here.

I need to finish stacking the woodpile and get it under cover so we can actually use it!

I've discovered over the years that as long as my mower (I've had many) has stabilized gas in it, it'll be fine... no need to drain the carb & tank.

Yeah, I wish I was still in the Georgia.  I've been told that 2-3 feet of snow is possible here, but I have yet to see a "real" winter here yet.  I think we had 6 inches of snow one time last year... quite pathetic for this region.

When we lived in Ft. Pierce I use to laugh at the folks in the north when they received snow out the ying yang. I use to sit under my cockpit awning sipping a nice chardonnay and call all of those suckers one by one to gloat.  :lmfao:

In reality though we like the cold weather and snow.
