Precious Metals
« on: April 01, 2024, 02:16:37 PM »
I knew I should have bought that crapton I wanted back when it was under $15 an ounce.  And I wanted to start getting a Krug each month back when got out of high school at about $400 an ounce.  Sure wish was as smart then as I am now.  Or at least part of it anyway.

If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

Nemo: Too soon dumb and too late smart. I'm glad I got into Silver in 2017 when it was $15 and I wish I had got in sooner. :suicide:

It bounced again: 3:00PM $27.20 oz.
The Silver gurus all say that they want to see it go up in stairsteps because a straight shot up would mean a straight shot down later.
Excuse me while I sit here and count my ounces. :coffeeNews:

OK... already had some gold but with the price of those coins apiece, didn't think they'd be useful for commerce.   So, evading any paper trail, I traded $1k cash for a stack of silver Maple Leaves  with the balance in old quarters - figure the spread between purchase/sale will be covered by rising prices AND will have, perhaps some reasonable mediums of exchange if our paper value goes to crap or they force us into black markets with their CBDCs...
For sure, I'm increasingly nervous about overweight in equities asset class...

Holy Moley..... It's 6:45 in the morning and Silver has gone up to $29.11. Go baby go. I think the Zimbabwe government going on a Gold Standard is going to be the fuse that blows up all the fiat currencies. I sure hope so. I'm pretty sure that it's only a matter of time because the FED has even mentioned the words GOLD STANDARD lately.

So, lest we forget how rapidly the fiscally powerful Rhodesia became the dangerously deficit Zimbabwe, and how it is pahhening here, only to a different degree, remember THESE ;'dollars'?

Which has REAL VALUE in life?

And remember, Rhodesia was a nation that FED much of Africa, before politicians got ahold of it , turned it into 'Zimbabwe' and caused it to fail and to starve.  We are NOT immune to this.

You bet Sir John. You can buy a genuine Zimbabwe One Trillion dollar bill for $1 US as a souvenir. The news said that the people over there are happy as Hell that they went back on real money. When you use real money (Gold and Silver) there is no inflation. I hope I live long enough to see the US be forced to go back to real money. With all the monster banks and all the other governments buying all the Gold and Silver they can get their hands on, I'm pretty sure they know what's coming and plan to make a killing when we drop the fiat currency. Right now, it is 11: AM and Silver has made another jump up to $29.49.
