Is World War Three Around the Corner

Just thinking out loud here - Is the civil war in Syria going to lead the USA (Nato) to war in the Middle East? Lets look at what has happened of late:

> McCain going to Syria and meeting with Syrian rebels
> Russia sending sophisticated weaponry to help out Assad
> Iran supporting Assad
> Violent protests in Turkey (Where did that come from)
> Violent protests in Sweden by Muslims (Sweden?)
> A Beheading and stabbing of military personnel in Great Britain and France, andnow
> Hezbollah's military support of Assad.

Do you remember when Glenn Beck was on Fox, he reported that the Arab Spring was just the beginning of a Caliphate? He predicted that it would spread to other Islamic countries and then into Europe. Then of course across the pond to the USA. Are small Islamic tactical fire teams in our future in the USA? Sorry getting off the subject here.

Will World War III in the Middle East be used by the Progressives to get us (USA) out of our financial crisis? Wilson and FDR used war to do that.

I don't think there will ever be a, "World War III", unless some kind of nuclear strike(s) happen. At that point WWIII will last about 30 minutes. What has been emerging is regional and smaller brush fire-type of conflicts since WWII.

As far as what JM brought up, think Assad will be dealt with, either internally, or via an outside group before too much longer.

McCain going to Syria: Just ask yourself, if a Democrat did this, he or she would held for treason by the GOP. The dear Senator from Arizona should just shuffle off to retirement, he's clearly lost the plot.

I have a lot of respect for McCain BUT i agree with you Crudos, its time for him to move on.

His military career fascinates me but I have to agree with Crudos too its kinda fishy for a senator to meet rebels in a active war zone unannounced
