First off lets start with the proper way to mortar a malfunction:
1) Ensure your collapsible stock is fully collapsed.
2) Try and mortar straight down and get full contact,
not at an angle.
In this case, the stock was fully collapsed and the angle was good- PTSD beasting is what broke it.
Either way, this is a real shitty way to take yourself out of a fight. The stock pictured below is actually
still functions and has the secondary friction lock so it was still usable for the day but will need to be replaced.
I have yet to inspect the buffertube, however we have reason to believe it was also damaged as a result
of mortaring several malfunctions
or was damaged clearing the first malfunction and
caused the rest.
So, Just a friendly reminder to be prepared and have replacements handy.
