Your Dream Gear

While being realistic of course, i'm curious what gear you guys dream of having that you can't currently find on the market?

Might be something small, might be something big, or you might have everything you need, but i'm curious if there is stuff that you just can't find anywhere to buy that you'd really like to see available. Who knows, maybe it will become a reality :) No, i'm not looking to steal ideas, i'm looking to serve the prepper community with gear needs that they may not be able to get currently.

A really good stuff sack.  If you really want to know, its a bag about 18" x 24" with a drawstring top that weighs about 2 pounds.  No matter what you put in it, it gains no weight and never gets filled up. 

The mouth is stretchable so you can open it over the muzzle of the main gun on an Abrams and keep tugging and when the entire tank is inside it will still draw closed and still weigh about 2 pounds.

If you can get that designed I will take 2, please.

Don't mind Nemo, while he is an ass he is actually pretty close to the mark..

There are not enough options size wise in lightweight sil-nylon..

Some of us like to be over organized while still being over customized, I know I for one would pay a couple of extra bucks for short order custom stuff sacks.

 A 1964 Dodge WM300 Power wagon pick up. Talk about a monster. You could hook up a house to it and drag it down the street. A CME or EMP wouldn't effect it, the only down side is it is a gas guzzler.
 There is so much I would like to have that is available but more than I can afford. A little at a time.

Believe it or not, you are not the first person who has requested this.....

I'm seriously considering it, and we have already made a number of stuff sacks varying in size from nice little ones all the way to the ones we sell with our Lightweight Shelter.

The guys in my group run the UV-82s.

What Baofeng do you have? UV-5Rs seem pretty popular.

A root cellar.  Wish I'd known about them when we built the house.  Could be used not only for food storage, but as a storm shelter and a place to stash sensitive stuff/people if needed.

I agree with this.  When I look for something about 4x6 inches, and its just a half inch too small and a 5x7 would be perfect, the next size above the 4x6 is 8x10.

I am indeed, although I can't disagree with some of the things stated  :thumbsUp:

I want to know what prepared civilians find a need for in the way of gear, and I want to meet that need. It might be something specific that others maybe haven't thought of yet but when they see it, they realize the need as well!

We are working on the stuff sack idea - a couple of my guys here have suggested that, and now that it has been suggested again on this forum, I think it's time to deliver. You should see something about that soon.

We are also working on some gear concepts specific to those of us that may need to bug out with infants - my wife and I are expecting our first literally any day now, and it has really gotten me thinking of ways to make survival with an infant more feasible / doable.

Hmm... for "stuff" - better ways to store canned goods.  Not home-canned - there are some innovative and easy ways for that.  I mean store-canned.  I tried this canning system (I forget the manufacturer) and it's sitting in the basement in a box because it was so rotten.  It stored them on their sides like those soda can things for your fridge.  You take one out of the front and they all roll down so the next one's in line.  Unfortunately, the thing took up tons of space, didn't handle various sized cans, and even of the Campbell's soup sized cans they only held half a dozen.  They were also made of flimsy plastic that was easy to break. 

That's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

How about a two sided pack cover a good desert camo on one side and woodland on the other?

Then I could look like a civ when I want or hid in any environment when I don't!

This is also a good one - my wife just made an AWESOME, Multicam, 1000D diaper "pack" (as opposed to bag). She wanted something we could wear as opposed to the conventional diaper bags.

I'ts got a large compartment lined with ripstop for easy cleaning with a couple of interior pockets lining the inside for stashing bottles, etc. She put a couple pouches on the outside for stashing pacifiers, etc. It has a buckled top flap and also a drawcord top (very similar to the Alice pack).

I'm thinking something similar to this might be cool for your concept, only offered in a cool gray, blue, black, etc..
