Hey hj...How about a quick report on your trip this past Saturday.
Hey JM! I previously wrote a little about it, but will be glad to share some more. I called my cousin, to see if he had heard about it. He hadn't, but was very interested. He told me to get back to him on Friday, as he is a self employed gen. contractor, and had to see if he had any things that were going to tie him up for Saturday. I did call back, and as luck would have it, he was free Saturday and eager to go. We each had about 1 1/2 hrs. to drive, to meet at the old family farm. I took him one of those 1 dollar aluminum water bottle stoves, a bottle of the gasoline anti-freeze fuel to use in it, and an extra aluminum bottle to make another one, if he wants to. I showed him how it worked. He thought that was pretty cool. I told him about this site, and another site," open carry.org" that I visit, and told him to check them out. Hopefully, he does, he would fit right in. Anyway, we hit the road for what now I put at, was to be about a 4, or 4 1/2 hr. trip. We left a little after 7, I think, and got there about 11:20 or so. I knew Pa. has some beautiful scenery, it is a pretty state. But the scenery down that way ranks right up there with scenery from anywhere else in the state. I don't think he got any pics. We b.s.'d all the way, discussing gun laws, government, etc., even a little family stuff. We arrived at the rally. Put some quarters in the parking meter. One quarter for ten min., can you imagine? LOL! I'm used to like a quarter for an hour, near where I live. I say near, cause where I live, we don't have any of them gadgets. I had 9 quarters on me, we were good for 1 1/2 hrs. Hey cuz, I'll feed the meter, you buy lunch. LOL! Grabbed us a coffee down the street, and headed about a block (city, that is) to the capitol building. It was a really nice looking building. kinda resembled the capitol building in D.C. We heard about 4 or 5 people speak. Read a lot of good signs. It was a good atmosphere. The weather was great, sunshine, not a bad temp. (45 or 50) It was the nicest day, in the middle of 3 or 4 crappy days before and after that day. God must like the 2nd Amendment. There was also a few babes with AR-15's. (my kind of women). I think it lasted about 1 1/2 hrs. We all signed a petition to send to our powers that be, and were on our way. A long day, but definitely worth it! I later checked some things on the computer, and caught a couple of glimpses of my cousin and I on a few various news clips. I found a still pic. that shows the backs of us, that I will try to attach. I'm the one with the balding spot on the back of my head. LOL! I always forget about it, until I see pics like these. Damn It! If I can figure out how to post the pic, we're in the lower right. My cousin has the orange hat, I had the black coat. If you look close, my Sig was showing on my right hip. The best I can do (limited computer skills) is link to site, and you will need to click on bottom pic, out of the four.
