I totally shocked! Not that we're the most armed but that India is no slouch either. I'd like to hear what the Chinese Communist Daily has to say about that? LOL!

This is awesome. Now I know how something like homefront could happen.

The only bad thing is that this was conducted in 2007. I'd like to see an update on the numbers. I bet our firearms per capita have increased since then.

I was surprised by most of the countries on the list, especially China!

Well at least the U.S. is still number one at something. LOL I know it said 90 guns to every 100 people but you know that its not 90 of every 100 people have guns. most gun owners have more than one. But its still very impressive that we could conceivably arm 90% of our population. Those numbers should give pause to anyone thinking of taking on mainland USA. Even the Guberment! 2008 and 2009 were fucking crazy years for gun sales they sold like 14-15 million each year
i would say by 2012 it will exceed over 1 gun per citizen

And im sure they dont take into account the heirloom collections. I have three mausers that arent on anyones books. I got them after my grandfather passed away and i can tell you he sure as hell wouldnt register with the state or the fed.

lol this is great news!
And if we all work really hard we can bump it up to a firearms surplus by next year! :D

It seems there is a surge in gun sales at the end of 2011. This article says that black friday saw the largest number of background checks for gun sales in a single day since records have been kept.
from the article:
According to numbers courtesy of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, this year?s Black Friday saw the most background check requests for gun buyers ever in a one-day span: 129,166.
