Title: Three times someone broke into my life
Post by: JoJo on March 05, 2016, 06:26:15 PM
Three times someone broke into my life. Twice at a gas station in New Jersey and now someone is trying to open an account with Capital One. Capital One called me early this morning to tell me someone tried to get a credit card in my name. They had my SS number and address. What tripped the alert was my secret question. I called the State Trooper Barracks and reported it and that they wanted it mailed to my home town. C 1 wouldn't tell me the address they wanted it shipped to. I gave the Trooper the complaint number and she said she would call C 1. I also called Experian to freeze all requests but its the weekend and they're closed to call back Monday.

A first, a whole post and I didn't misspell a  :word:
OOPS I miss spelled THEY'RE

Had my identity stolen last year - income tax fraud. Apparently, I have like a dozen kids.

We're getting last year's funds this year, in another month or so.  :pissed:

God, I hate people.

Glad to hear they made the catch.. I got a call from the bank one morning to ask if I was spending large sums of money in Ireland.. I said 'you see that I got donuts at the usual spot in my home town this morning?' they said yes and that it's what clued them into the idea that I hadn't just swiped my card for 30k.

I was in Hong Kong once and my Am Ex card was rejected one night post dinner. I called them from my cell phone and after answering all kinds of security questions my account was unfrozen.

At the end of my conversation with Am Ex the young lady lectured me that the next time I travel OUTSIDE the US to let them know ahead of time.

She was right and I was wrong  :hiding:

In this mornings mail the credit card came in , that means the person will try to raid my mail box.  :boltAction: I'll have to keep an eye out.  Also this morning I called Experian and froze my credit for 90 days.

I can loan you a Garand and black tip armor piercing rounds.  That will disable their vehicle so you can run chase them down in yours.
