If you need a second magazine, its time to call in air support.

God created Man, Col. Sam Colt made him equal, John Moses Browning turned equality to perfection, Gaston Glock turned perfection into plastic fantastic junk.

We have a few Black Bears in my area and I have woods on my property. I don't like to even go out in my yard without my pistol. That's especially true if I go near or into my woods. My 380 ain't much but if can put all 7 rounds into him, I think I can handle him after that. I'm also a Rock and Mineral collector(Rockhound) and I've always wanted to go out west to hunt. My friend who is a Geologist, has been out there and he told me to constantly listen while hunting rocks in an aroya(steep sided dry creek bed). He said that flash floods will take you out in just seconds. He said he always finds a close by place to run up and out if he hears a roar off in the distance. As for the bicycle and rock climbing thing, I don't have a death wish. Screw that nonsense.

never seen a bear on my property but wouldn't doubt they are around. What we do have around is wild hogs, coyotes, snakes, and dogs that are left out on the road or allowed to roam by neighbors. Ive been growled at by my fair share of dogs that have come up on me while im walking my own property. I have it fenced and cross fenced and of course dogs can still dig under and get in. Can also walk up my driveway. I have shot and killed my fair share of dogs, coyotes, and certain snakes like rattlesnakes. I leave black snakes, corn snakes, and others. Always carry on my land cause never know what you will come upon.

In the spring, when I go through the woods I bring a 12 gauge loaded with deer slugs. Slugs do a number on what ever you shoot out.

This is the first time I have not seen at least one mama and 1 or 2 cubs yet. I have seen plenty of scat though so, I know they are around.
