The Gun Box (http://www.guns.com/2013/09/30/gun-box-high-tech-way-secure-handgun/)
The only thing I don't like about it is the dependence on electronics to unlock it - but you could always keep a spare set of batteries for that. I like the idea of having a ring on your finger, and all you need to do is wave your hand over it.

That looks nice, but I rather mechanical stuff to electronics, mine uses a passcode or a key, but I never go sleep with the gun in the safe.
Biometrics absolutely sucks, I see tons of people having problems with fingerprint detectors not working for them, I'm one of those guys.

That does look nice, but I can't even keep my laptop fingerprint scanner going, or keep track of my bluetooth headsets. I'd be afraid I'd never be able to get into it if I lost the RFID tag! :D Still, neat ideas for gun safety.

I like the concept a lot because I have kids and a gun safe is the smartest option to have the weapon ready to rock but out of reach. I'm not 100% comfy with electronics-only opening, as technology can fail, but if it has a good run with good reviews then I'd be willing to get it, I think. I would get the RF ring, I believe. Would make it easier to have a "key" 24/7 that would open the safe, even if you were asleep.
