i cant find a non engraved model 19 on the net, and the ones i found where like 4,500....LOOOOL

the main character (so far) in the book im reading uses a model 19 and kicks major ass with it, so needless to say i want one now lol.

Last one I bought was 175 (rear sight problem) There not the best choice for a steady diet of full house 357 ammo, they loosen up after a while. I'd go with a heavier frame for durability. Sweet shooter though and the triggers on older smiths are great.

Your looking at a model 29 or 629 at least then (n frame). If you go for the 629 be aware that there was some hardness issues with the early models with the stainless trigger and hammer.

The old S&W all-steel revolvers are going up in value every day, possibly because people are starting to realize that the light weight models aren't as comfortable to shoot as they thought. The model 19, 29, 686 etc are very popular and usually command a starting price of no less than $500.
