Title: Surviving SHTF in Bosnia
Post by: JohnyMac on February 05, 2013, 07:09:59 PM
A friend sent me this link to a Bosnian who lived / survived the civil war and collapse there.

http://sovietoutpost.revdisk.org/?p=72 (http://sovietoutpost.revdisk.org/?p=72)

Bottom-line, the most important thing was to have things to trade and or a skill. He mentions umpteen times that ammo is the most important thing followed by firearms and trade items. He mentioned that Bic lighters, cheap alcohol, cigarettes are worth more than their weight in gold or silver.

Enjoy...

I like the message, full of common sense.  Barter and family having your back is crucial.

I remember reading this before. That might be what made me think of stocking up on coffee and cigs. for trading, in the "Daily Vices/Habits SHTF" thread. A good read JM! Very informative.

No time to read it right this second but I saved it to notepad just in case they decide that to much good info is in it and they want to pull it. Looks promising though. Thanks gents.
