I just stumbled across this idea on the internet recently. The idea is to use an oil filter as a suppressor with a thread adapter that costs $25 on Ebay. Seriously considering testing this out.

This is the Econo-Can which is an adapter registered with the ATF that costs $75 + tax stamp. The same can be accomplished with any adapter sized for the appropriate threads.

Goggle "solvent trap adapter" before you spend your money...

I have seen some of those adapter at the gun shows around here. Selling in the range of $25-40 each. They are designed to slip on the barrel with allen screws to tighten and hold it in place.
I guess I might have to get one of them things.
