All you got to do is push out the front sight pins and then tap it over with a hammer. Then you drill out the holes to the next larger size(1/8") and install new pins that are made from 1/8" stock. Rolling a front sight isn't really a hard job if you are handy. I would love to do it for you if I could only find the time.

That guy

RON L here

I've done a Few and they can be a Pain inthe ass to get the old Pins out! Once ya do, it's not that hard and all, and yes, re-drill and new pins makes it all OK then? No Problems on AK are all that hard to Fix, Unless it was Poorly Built then you spend a Lot of time truing up the state of that Build?

Not really much that they can fuck up that we can't fix, right Ron?

Don't get me wrong there are issues that at too "costly" to fix but most problems with an AK are just like this one. Stupid mistakes that were made in the assembly process.

One of the many reasons to not buy a Wasr without inspecting it first and firsthand knowledge of said inspection process.

No, I don't own any Wasr's anymore. I agree with Techniques advice about buying a Saiga.

Hello all, RON L here

Well stated That guy, Yes, I've seen some weapons so screwed up (AK's Included) that no $ would fit them? That said, those were far and rare, most AK issues like the Canted Sites, Trigger slap, and other problems as you SO WELL STATED WERE POOR ASSEMBLY ISSUES! The WASR's Get the Bad Rap, but lets be Honest many of the Maddi MISR (Post Bad Maddi Egyptian AK"s assembled with a mix of China made and other parts), were just as Bad a WASR's are at times, I've seen a few Norenco and Poly Tech Pre-bans with Canted sites with all sorts of trigger slap and no opne seems to remember that?? (Maybe I'm just old), But more Likely the Romanian product is more curent and folks remeber isses with them clearer and more recent? No matter who made, if it's messed up, slow and stady d-sassemblya nd re-assmble correctly will 99% solve the issue so why sell it, FIT IT, Ask for Help or Yes ya can sell it, but what a Shame???

Sounds like you got a lemon. It was most likely made early moday morning or end of the day friday. If you want to go the AR route do so and enjoy. If you want to stick with AK check it out better the next go around. If/when you sell yours at least give full disclosure

If you wanta keep it or get a better deal take it back to gun store you bought it from tell em its fucked up theyll send it back to century to fix it for free.
Thats what i did for my century 74 it had a tilted front sight. It took em like 5 weeks but i got it back all fixed
