No, I have never heard of them. They are close and prices seem to be right.

Johny

They just announced an affiliation with a group of guys that I train and shoot with from Weaponcraft in Maine. I am looking forward to talking to the guys to get some more info. I am heading down to FLA to do a Team course from Fri to Tuesday with one of the guys from Weaponcraft so hopefully I will come back with a better feel. As I see it anything that helps someone become better prepared has value and everything starts with fundamentals.

Cool. Looking forward to your AAR when you get back from FL.

Oh by the way, you are going to miss a nice snow storm. It's amazing what some people will do to get out of shoveling snow

I couldn't get out of dodge fast enough  ;)

Predicted snow fall over two days (Wed & Thurs) is 8-12". Wind 10-12 mph with gusts so far 20 mph. Temp 28'F.

Little deer hunting today  MrsMac just asked me if we could go to town to buy the Wednesday new paper. I told her, "Sure soon as you clean off the truck."  >:D

That ain't alot of snow there so far for NE PA.  I can still see grass and weeds.  I don't think that is anywhere near school closing snow yet.  Post a pic or 3 of what you will get in the next day or 2.

Nemo, you are 100% correct. Not much for NE PA.

The problem is we got 4" (so far) on top of about 1" of ice. This started out as a ice storm yesterday and switched to snow around midnight.

My wife just had to have a Wednesday News Paper for the food ads. So we came down off the mountain.

We were not 100 yards from the cabin on a lone lane dirt road, when I started slipping towards the ditch. Switched the truck from 4x4 high to low. We were OK till we got to the state paved road and it got bad again. Basically we skied for another 4 miles down the mountain into town.

In town, hit the grocery store and topped off the trucks gas tank for a little added weight. Saw our mail lady at the gas station and told her not to deliver our mail today. She reached into her Jeep and gave me our mail and thanked me. Then we slowly crawled up the mountain home. A journey that normally takes 10 minutes or so, took 30.

NO!

If we ended up in a ditch no problem for me but do to my wife's health does not lend her to walking any great distance especially in the snow.

In hindsight, I should not of listened to her whining for a paper and then to make matters worse - Took her.

Yeah but when you pulled up in the driveway and took that deep breath, you did get a bit of a thrill.  Did you not?
